The income which is coming regularly is called Stable Income

I am in the field of Computers from past 16 years and during this period I had learnt many things and from the beginning itself I was very fond of learning Computer Programming and at present I am developing Software programs for various Govt. Sectors. And regarding the Internet business, I started my internet career about 5 years ago and since then I have learnt a lot from this Internet thing.

Almost 80% of Internet users search for ‘How to make money online?‘ and so I decided to create a niche website to tell you about the most of earning money online.

make money online How to Make Money Online A Stable Income Tip !

Make Money Online

Since, this is my first post describing this niche, I just wanted to tell you the ‘Basics of Internet Career’ and what is all about ‘Earning Money Online‘.

So guys, have you ever thought that how most of the publishers earn their living only with a few sites they develop. Most of them are under the free site providers like Blogger, WordPress.com, etc. The main success behind such Publishers is just their hard work and patience.

I have seen many publishers who are earning more than $144K per month, so how this happened? Actually, they are writing under a proper niche and that too continuously, within time the reputation of their site increases in search engines and they start earning regular income from their blogs/websites. For more information about finding your niche, refer to my article regardingList of High Paying Adsense Categories for your Niche Website.

Regarding Adsense, its a very big deal to make a good standing account with Adsense because Google won’t spare a single second to ban your account if you have made a single mistake in following Adsense TOS.

But, what if you haven’t done any mistake and Adsense disabled your account, so as with many genuine Publishers. Always make an alternate source of online Income like:

  1. Sell online products.
  2. Sell your own ebooks or products.
  3. Become Affiliate Marketer, through which many publishers are earning their livelihood.
  4. Always use Adsense Alternative Publisher accounts, don’t ever depend on a single firm as Adsense.

If you follow the above tips, you will always have a backup of your Income Source, and if something odd happens with Adsense account, you will gain a regular income from other sources.

But, I recommend making a good standing with your Adsense account as this is a Genuine Publishing network and pays the most share which comes form its advertisers.

Now, what about the Stable Income? Its a must have like problem for almost all of the Publishers who are beginners in this field. don’t worry guys, I will try to solve this problem also, rest depends on your work and writing capabilities.

The income which is coming regularly is called Stable Income, but when this income multiplies itself per month then its called a GOOD STABLE INCOME, so how to earn a good stable income, its very easy… just follow this tip:

HAVE PATIENCE AND UPDATE YOUR SITE DAILY WITH NICHE AND QUALITY CONTENT

DON’T FORGET TO FOLLOW THE ABOVE 4 POINTS AS A SOURCE OF SECONDARY INCOME

After a certain time, you will be getting a regular income, and please don’t blame me if you are not writing proper articles, not updating your blog regularly and expecting to get a good income.

Moreover, many of us think that Google Panda update has eaten my visitors, but my personal opinion about this blog and the visitors is that after recent Panda Update, every genuine publisher is getting targeted users, and I am watching my blog since the last update and I have seen a drastic increase in returning visitors and also new ones, that too targeted.

MAC Cult of Cherry- T-Minus Two Weeks and Counting

MAC Cult of Cherry: T-Minus Two Weeks and Counting

Here’s a brief peak at some of the products from MAC’s upcoming Cult of Cherry collection. I haven’t been this excited about a MAC collection since … well, since the last MAC collection.

What makes Cult of Cherry noteworthy? For me it’s the rich reds, dark plums and chocolate browns. The collection includes nine lipsticks (four Mattenes), two blushes, five Lipglasses, three eye shadow quads, two nail polishes and Zoom Lash mascara (also part of MAC’s permanent collection).

Tempting Quad

What do you think of Tempting Quad? It houses four shadows for $36.

  • Next to Nothing: A pinky beige shimmer shadow; on me it shows up more pink.
  • Tempting: OMG. Where has this rich, shimmery golden brown been all my life? It just melts into my skin. What a fabulous crease shade.
  • Dark Edge: A sheer, deep chocolate brown semi-matte that’s a bit on the cool side. I really like this in the outer V.
  • Sharp: This shimmery green-gold shade turned out to be a nice surprise. In the pan it looked a little garish, but I like the way it looks on my lids.

On this eye that’s Next to Nothing on my brow bone, Tempting in the crease, Sharp on the lid and Dark Edge in the Outer V. I have a feeling there are endless ways to wear this quad. It’s lurve, ladies!

Plum Du Bois Blush

Plum Du Bois blush ($17.50), a deep pinky bronze with shimmery gold, looks dark in the pan but applies pretty sheer for a blush.

Creme Cerise

Creme Cerise lipstick ($14), a shimmery yellow-taupe, looks almost tan on my lips. I like the lustre formula (thin and shiny), which feels light and moisturizing. It’s pretty, but I felt compelled to put something on top of it to jazz it up. It’ll be a shade I reach for on my way to work or when I need to look responsible.

Jampacked Lipglass

While it looks more pink in this picture, it’s actually a deep purple ($14) and has just the right touch of golden shimmer. I thought it would be too goth chick for me and difficult to apply, but it’s not at all. It makes my lips look stained, like I’ve be been snacking on dark bing cherries all day long.

I’m settling down for the night on the couch in front of the tube, waiting for America’s Best Dance Crew to start. Tabs is here with me. He says hi. We’re both rooting for Fanny Pack. :)

Have a great night.

Retro Roundup: One Year Ago on Makeup and Beauty Blog

121809-one-year-ago-on-makeup-and-beauty-blog

YES! Friday, at last. :) What a challenging week, ladies, but it’s winding down.

Did you do anything fun last night? I can’t remember what I did… I think there was some chasing involved — Tabs chasing. My new thing is walking around the house, saying “Gravy,” which is his new nickname. He’s a fiend for gravy — tuna in gravy, seafood feast in gravy, salmon in gravy.

To start our Friday, here’s a quick look back at some of the things we were talking about on the blog this time last year. :)

  • How to Cover Up Dark Circles for a Wedding, Prom or Party with MAC Cosmetics Studio Finish Concealer: I suffered through a really bad bought of insomnia a few weeks ago, and my dark circles were extra terrible. My regular concealer, MAC Select Moisturecover, just wasnt gettin it done. My friend Jens wedding was right around the corner, and I didnt want to show up looking like death warmed over. I needed serious coverage, and I needed it fast.
  • MAC Makeup for Work: Club and Woodwinked Eyeshadows: I’m sporting two of my very first MAC eyeshadow purchases, Club and Woodwinked (both part of the permanent collection). I could write sonnets on both of these colors, as theyve seen me through a lot over the past few years. Club, a shimmery duochorome, flashes from green to brown, and Woodwinked is a warm, shimmery gold. Today I paired em for this easy, breezy, work-friendly daytime eye.
  • 5 Plum Posts: An Ode to Purple Makeup: Stila Convertible Eye Color in Violet made quick work of this smokey purple eye. The Violet shades pencil is a shimmery, dark plum; the coordinating shadow is a shimmery lavender.
  • A Smokey Eye Tutorial with MAC Cosmetics Metal Urge Gilded Ash Cream Shadow and Cocomotion Pigment: I dont know if Ill ever tire of doing smokey eyes. There are just so many different ways to work the look, like this spin on a daytime eye for work. Its a method I learned from my favorite MAC artist, Jen, using products from the MAC Metal Urge and Red She Said collections.
  • Japanese Beauty Product or After-School Snack? Put on yo thinking cap and try to guess what this mystery product is!
  • With Pop Beauty Cat Eyes Liners Its Good to Be Catty: OBSESSION ALERT! Pop Beauty Cat Eyes Liners ($16) make applying eyeliner easy and, well, kinda fun.

Product Review – Crest Vivid White Toothpaste

Product Review – Crest Vivid White Toothpaste

Product: Crest Vivid White Fluoride Toothpaste in Refreshing Mint
Use: A whitening toothpaste
Price: $3.99 for a 4.1 oz tube
Makeup and Beauty Blog Rating: A+

I have a slight obsession with teeth. It’s not freaky or scary or potentially debilitating (I hope), but I have to admit to loving vigorous flossing and Sonicare brushing a little too much. It hasn’t always been this way. It started when I met my current dentist Dr. Y – a total character and diva extraordinaire. When I first sat in her dentist’s chair she immediately asked me who made my suit (it was bebe.) She then told me to check out the Versace store down the street – “They have similar cuts in their clothing and it’s very flattering for petite women. Plus, I get a discount!” Just when I thought that I met the coolest dentist ever, she frightened the bejeebus out of me by giving me a totally scary lecture on the importance of gum health. There were many, many, many frightening pictures of gingivitis and swollen gums. It ain’t pretty, folks. I’ve been touting the virtues of mint floss ever since.

A few months ago when I told Dr. Y I was getting married the first thing she said was, “Congratulations! Is this your first?” She was the only person who had that reaction, but then again she’s been married three times. But whose keeping track? The next thing she said was that for my wedding gift she’d hook me up with Zoom teeth whitening. Woo hoo!

The process of Zoom whitening itself was pretty painful – and to be blogged about in sordid detail in a future post – but in the end I got a set of really nice, white teeth. However, the teeth whitening was in June so it’s been a while. I’ve started to do things to keep my teeth from re-staining, like drinking coffee and red wine with a straw (I know, I know, it’s kinda tacky-looking in public but I don’t care!) but I still noticed in the past few months that they aren’t as white as they used to be.

I asked one of my best friends, Mary Anne, a superb dentist as well and all around cool gal (sorry fellas, she’s taken), and she recommended Crest Vivid White Fluoride Toothpaste in Refreshing Mint. Mary Anne told me that it’s probably the best whitening toothpaste you can get at the drugstore, and after three weeks of use I have to agree – this stuff is the shizz for getting those canines white!

Pros
The formula doesn’t make my teeth feel tingly or weird. It has a refined mint taste. The biggest pro: it actually works. The whitening effect is subtle yet noticeable. Granted, if you’ve been smoking for 20 years and sip coffee through your front teeth I don’t know how white your teeth are gonna get. It’s a tube of toothpaste, not a Christmas miracle, people.
crest-vivid-white-christmas-miracle
Cons
It’s pricy for toothpaste. My good old standby toothpaste, Colgate Total, is the same price for a tube that’s twice a big, but ultimately I don’t mind because I don’t use a lot and it works really well.

Elisava- Fashion, Film and Performance

Elisava: Fashion, Film and Performance

Papabygote, Elisava, 2010

Another end of the year show which I visited in July was organized in conjunction with the graduation of the masters students in fashion design at Elisava, a school of design in Barcelona. It was great to witness the experimental and imaginative projects completed by the graduating class. In a testament to the multi-media nature of fashion today, the students were recquired to complete a collection, stage a performance to present their collection and produce a short video showcasing their work and the concepts behind it. Also in the spirit of collaborations coach outlet store online, the majority of the students worked in pairs or more for the completion of the worka system that brilliantly debunks the outdated notion of the genius artist (and by extension designer) for the more realistic idea of collaborative work.

The program is directed by Beatriu Malaret and Toni Mir; the year-end presentation was attended by Diana Pernet coach outlet wallets, the Parisian fashion critic and video journalist. Through Pernet, I learned that a number of different tutors from various disciplines work at Elisava (for instance, Alex Murray-Leslie of Chicks on Speed). This is probably one of the reasons for the experimental and innovative nature of the work.

One of my favourite pieces was the film and collection by Papabygote. Their short is witty and subtle and reminded me of the work of David Bestu and Marc Vives, the brilliant video artist duo, also from Barcelona.

A Textile Arts Community Grows in Brooklyn

A Textile Arts Community Grows in Brooklyn

Summer Camp at the Textile Arts Center

I first heard about the Textile Arts Center (TAC) from my friend Isa Rodrigues, a textile conservator and fiber enthusiast who works there as the studio manager. She kept telling me I needed to meet the “TAC girls” because not only were they young and cool, they were doing something that nobody else in the city was doing – singlehandedly crafting together a vibrant community of like-minded people interested in textiles and fiber arts. I stopped by one of their free open-house weaving sessions that they have every last Friday of the month, and I was thrilled with the beauty of the space, the incredible looms, the colorful spools of yarn and the welcoming feeling that greeted me. Once I met Visnja Popovic and Owyn Ruck, the co-founders of TAC, I was instantly swept up by their enthusiasm and commitment towards forging a place where textile experts, novices, enthusiasts, and artists can learn and practice this most ancient of arts. Owyn took a moment out of her busy schedule to talk to Fashion Projects about their work and vision for the Textile Arts Center.

Fashion Projects: Recently TAC has gotten a lot of people in the local fashion and textile? fields buzzing, even though it seems like you popped out of nowhere.? Can you give us a little information on the backstory of the center ?and tell us about your gorgeous new space in Brooklyn??

Textile Arts Center: Buzzing?! Are they? Thats good to hearI feel like we have our noses to the ground, pounding work out without taking a second to stop and see how much weve changed in the past year.

Textile Arts Center started just over a year ago in a small weaving studio in Park Slope. Visnja and I really wanted to expand to offer other programs, especially for adults, and create the center we envisioned. I think the main thrill was in bringing together everyone with a love for fibers, or even slightest interest, and creating the environment that was comfortable, fun and really conducive to making great work. The feeling of art school, without going back to art school.

We went through a long process of finding the right space, kind of with haste at one point But we found this one after a few mishaps! And thats whats important. It felt like home immediately. Our move to Carroll St was in April and since then weve just sort of grown. I think a big part of that growth was feeling secure in what we were presenting to the public. The space speaks a lot for itself and weve been working hard to reach the right audiences with the confidence that we are doing something people could really love.

?What is the overarching goal of TAC? How do you see the center fitting ?into the existing fashion and textile community in Brooklyn and New? York City??

The whole DIY and fashion scene here isintense. Growing up here (Brooklyn) I didnt really ever imagine this happening, it hardly seems like the same place. But Brooklyn, and NYC in general, is amazing that way. There is always something new and exciting. People are constantly pushing boundaries here, and its really exciting to be a part of.

Fiber and textile arts have a stodgy stigma and one of our goals is to change that. Textiles are not only beautiful and fun to create, but also really important in our human history. Textiles touch practically everything in our lives and every industry. Its frustrating, for example, that even those most knowledgeable in current fashion could not know the technical difference between a knit and a woven fabric! Its important to understand how things are made, where they are coming from. We want to acknowledge that people can do it themselves, too. Its not for a set of elite talent. Textiles are inherently social and community oriented and that should always be the attitude about textile appreciation in any form.

TACDyeing

?What are some of the classes you offer, and who is your intended ?audience? What are some of the classes, services and events that you ?hope to offer in the future?

We now offer quite a bit. In addition to the continuous Intro Weaving and Intro Screen Printing courses, the Fall courses include paper and book arts, sewing, knitting, dyeing, embroidery, quilting Weve really enjoyed shifting our focus to an adult audience, while finessing and perfecting our kids programs (Summer Camp and Afterschool). We want to reach anyone with interest in learning new skills, sharing their work, and being part of a larger community.

In the future, we want to keep the momentum going by consistently offering new class topics and more advanced courses. However, once that is going, our focus can come back a bit to the Gallery and fiber artists. We really have some great shows planned, as well as a textile artists residency program in the works. In addition, well hopefully be adding a product line and a free program for underserved teens in portfolio development for art and vocational schools. I could go through the ideas constantly spewed out daily, but wed be here awhile??

Brooklyn Mini-Skills: Natural Dyeing from tom hayes on Vimeo.

You have a very small team of people working at the Center, so it? seems to really be a labor of love. How do you find that its working ?out? Are you looking for interns and volunteers? (something that Im? sure many Fashion Projects readers would like to know)

Boy is it a labor of love Endless hours, but also endless fun. Weve really created our ideal working life. There is never a shortage of people who want to be involved, and we love meeting new people. Some of our greatest advice and help has been 100% free. We really love this part of the community C textile lovers will do whatever they can for it and to be involved.

Its hard when you are starting out to want to give up some dough to have hired help. But when we embarked upon the new space, growing rapidly, we quickly saw we needed real, solid help. We were drowning a bit! Both Isa (studio manager) and Kim (marketing assistant) started as free interns, devoting so much time, and are both now on staff. You dont necessarily need a lot of people to run something like this, but you do need devotion and love for it. Weve been lucky to have so many people around with this attitude.

We are always looking for interns and volunteers! Particularly coming up in the fall. We are aiming to be open 7 days a week coach outlet online, with late hours for artists, and need studio monitors we can trust in exchange for use of the studio. ??

Youre participating in Fashions Night Out on September 10th, with an? emphasis on Slow Fashion. In a way, this seems to be subverting FNOs? original purpose of spurring consumption by restoring consumer? confidence and boosting the economy. (Shop. For Something Good. is ?their tagline.) What are you trying to gain and what message are you? intending to spread by participating in this event??

I really thought hard about this when planning the event. The event started out as a small thing, since our Opening Party is the week after. But the feedback we were receiving from people was really positive so it kind of turned into something else entirely.

This positive feedback seemed to tell us there was a real place for this type of appreciation in fashion, that there are a lot of people that want to participate in FNO but not necessarily in the sense of pure consumerism.

I think FNO is great in many ways. The industry should not die out, designers need to be supported, and the economy does need a boost. There is no doubt about that. However, we didnt feel right promoting blind consumerism. We are doing an event about the direction we think fashion should be taking, and IS taking Coach Handbags, as we speak. Eco-fashion is the new thinggreen is the new black, right?

As with all of our programs, the main objective is to educate. We wanted to support local Brooklyn/NYC designers that are making things by hand, with fabrics made in sustainable ways, with versatile, classic design sense. At the same time we wanted to make sure that people were walking away from the event with the understanding that Sustainable Fashion is not only about buying from designers who use organic fabrics. Yes, that is important, but the responsibility is on the consumer as well as the designer. Slow Fashion is buying what you need, what you love, buying locally, reusing and repurposing materials, learning about and knowing how to do-it-yourselfIts imperative to understand the industry you are buying from and having the knowledge to make the right decisions of what and who you want to support with your well-earned cash.

TACloom

?As part of your commitment to Slow Fashion, you are also participating ?in the 6 Things challenge that was recently profiled in the NYT. Your ?blog about the challenge is? fascinating as it reveals a lot of the anxiety, frustration, but? ultimately liberation that you all are going through. Do you think ?that once you have finished the challenge your approach to your? wardrobe will be radically altered??

I think soI hope so! Its hard to tell as in week one it still feels fine and relatively normal. Week 3 or 4 might be a different story.

I came across the 6 Items or Less project on Ecouterre.com and thought what Heidi and Stella had started was great, I was happy to see the coverage theyve been receiving. Its yet another good point to fashion lovers: to pay attention to what we buy and wear, and why we do. Fashion is an important part of self-expression, and has a psychological effect on most, but we need to be more aware of it. Why do we feel bad about ourselves if you dont have the perfect outfit? Why should getting dressed in the morning be hard? Why do we feel we have nothing to wear with a closet of 100+ items. Its just a great way to challenge yourself and dig a little deeper into your own psyche.

There have been a lot of complaints so far! But I think that doing it as a staff, a group, we are able to support each other and stay on track. I must admit, I felt like I was pulling teeth a bit, but Im glad everyone agreed to do it. I love waking up and not thinking about it. I think well all learn to be a bit more creative with what we already own, and appreciate the quality of what we buy.

TAC1

?Where do you envision TAC to be in 5 years? 10 years?

Hopefully it will still exist! Its a little hard to imagine, but I can only hope that our classes and programs are always full, we have the grant funding to run the free programs we would like, we have a product line of beautiful woven and printed goods, and we never have to advertise ever again!

No, but really, we have a lot of ideas. We have huge goals, and we have the energy while we are young to take ideas and (attempt to) turn them into reality.

The ultimate goal is to be an accredited institution where students come to receive credit (so many fashion and textile programs in NYC dont even have a weaving course!), where we can offer multiple free programs so everyone can join the community, and be a staple in the art world representing textile and fiber artists.

How to Make the Most of the End of Summer

How to Make the Most of the End of Summer Coach Outlet Stores

Toes in the sand

As September looms, college girls everywhere are prepping to return to the daily grind of college life, and many girls are anticipating heading off to school for the very first time. Whether you’re pumped for school or dreading it, going to be a freshman or returning for your senior year, one thing remains the same: you’ve got to make the most of your summer break before it slips away!

I’ve got you covered: read on for my tips on how I plan to make the most of these precious few remaining weeks? (and how you can, too!)

Plan Cheap Coach Factory Outlet, Plan, Plan

Ugh, planning isn’t fun. Planning isn’t spontaneous. Planning isn’t the way to squeeze the laid back, juicy goodness out of the dog days of summer! Right? Well, the answer is yes and no: There’s no need to obsess over planning out every last hour of your remaining summer break, but if you don’t make at least a few plans in advance, you may end up doing nothing at all.

Some of the best memories you’ll make this summer require at least a little planning. If you want to go to that Taylor Swift concert, you need to order your tickets before they sell out! If you and your besties are planning a road trip, you need to ask you boss for a few days off from work. Camping? No one wants to arrive at the campsite and realize you’re missing some essentials due to lack of planning.

Like I said, you don’t have to schedule out every last minute of your summer, but taking a few moments each day to look ahead and do the necessary planning for your adventures will ensure that all your escapades come to fruition.

But Don’t Over-Plan…

Okay, I swear I’m not contradicting my first suggestion. As important as it is to plan, you can’t let any of your planning get in the way of real summer fun.

While some events require forethought, some of the best summer moments don’t involve any prepping at all. So give yourself permission to take on an up-for-anything attitude this August, and try not to turn down the chance to get out there and have fun.

Even if you’re tired from work, even if you’re broke, even if you don’t like everyone who’s going to the party, stop making excuses and get out there. You’ll be glad you did and, really, anything is better than wasting your last few days of freedom watching TV. You’ll have tons of time to get caught up with Pretty Little Liars online this fall, I promise!

Finally, Soak it Up.

You can plan, or not plan. You can go to every party you?get invited?to, or only go to one. But what will really make the most difference during these last few weeks is how well you truly experience what you’re doing.

Be in the moment. Don’t worry about what you have to do the next day, or in the coming weeks. Don’t worry about what to name the photo album on Facebook. Try to focus on what is going on around you, right now at that very moment, and take some mental snapshots: remember how your friend’s laugh sounds coach bags clearance online, how the sun looks like it’s melting into the lake, how the fresh-cut grass feels in-between your toes.

Focusing on little sensations and committing them to memory will make everything you do in the next few weeks really worth it and memorable. The goal is to look back, come September Coach Handbags On sale, and not feel like you wasted a single moment.

So, what are you waiting for?

Get out there and soak up every last bit of summer that you can Coach Outlet, before it’s too late! I know I will be! Leave us a comment and tell us what you plan to do, or come back in a few weeks and let us know what your favorite summer memory was.

The Freshman Experience- College Orientation_0

The Freshman Experience: College Orientation

Northeastern
Northeastern University

This past weekend, I passed my first of many freshman year milestones: orientation. My excitement had been building for weeks leading up to our trip to Boston: I couldn’t wait to register for classes, finally meet my roommate, make new friends, and see the campus!

Now that I’m back, let me tell you one thing about my orientation experience: it was FABULOUS. Of course, that just makes the 43 days left until I move in seem like an eternity! Is it September yet?

For those of you who haven’t attended your college orientation yet (and even for those of you that just want to take a stroll down memory lane), below I’ll outline the two days I spent on campus. I hope that by giving you a detailed explanation of my experience, you all will appear cool, collected, and confident when you attend orientation for the first time.

NU Orientation Day 1: What I Wore:

College orientation outfit 1: Gray tank, sandals, leather accessories
Tank / Shorts / Belt / Sandals / Bracelet / Bag

Day 1 Schedule:

On our first day of orientation Coach Outlet Online, we arrived at the school between 7:00 and 7:45 am. After checking in Coach Outlet Stores, we attended a continental breakfast before sitting down for the “Welcome to Northeastern University” session.?Already split up from our parents, we were thrown into the college atmosphere right away.?We spent the rest of the morning in small groups, learning about school spirit, schedules, and the book we have to read before school starts. Our afternoon involved listening to lectures and going on a few tours.

As we got to know one another, all of us soon-to-be freshmen began to feel more comfortable with our surroundings and each other. I was lucky enough to find myself with a group of new friends for the majority of the day. It was so exciting to see our group growing and multiplying as the day wore on!

That evening, there was a dance in the afterHOURS on-campus nightclub, an ice cream social, capture the flag, and a trivia session. Afterwards Cheap MLB Jerseys, we all sat around outside in colorful Adirondack chairs getting to know one another. When I finally made my way to bed at 2:00am, there were still about forty kids sitting and chatting outside on the wiffleball field.

NU Orientation Day 2: What I Wore:

College orientation outfit 2: Orange tee, cutoff shorts, sandals

Top / Shorts / Sandals / Bracelet / Bag

Day 2 Schedule:

Our second day of orientation was a little more slow-paced than the first. We began the morning with breakfast in the dining hall and then attended a session by the University Health and Counseling Services. Following this lengthy lecture, we were able to choose two half-hour sessions to sit through, with options such as Campus Recreation, Choosing a Major, Public Safety, and International Study Programs.

After our lectures, we reported to lunch, where we ate in a classroom with a small group and a student mentor. This was, in my opinion, the most informative hour of our orientation. Our student mentor was a senior who told us about his experiences at Northeastern. He was open to questions and, because there weren’t any faculty members or “adults” in the room, we were able to ask anything. This cleared up many questions we had all been waiting to ask.

After his talk, we got our schedules. It was like middle school all over again; everyone crowded around each other and compared classes. After lunch, we attended another ice cream social (colleges really dig the ice cream, apparently), and then checked out. During check out we had our pictures taken for our student IDs, and finally got our Husky Cards, which we’ll use in the upcoming semester.

Once orientation was complete, it was time to go. Although I was a sad to leave my new friends, my excitement was building: I’d be back – and starting college for real – in just a few short weeks.

Orientation Success Tips:

Now that I’ve survived freshman orientation, I have a few tips for orientation success to share. Follow these guidelines, and you’ll be sure to have a fabulous orientation experience yourself.

  • If you are going to school in a different location, research the weather before you go.?Being from Minnesota, I thought I was used to extreme temperatures. I was not, however, prepared for the extreme humidity that east coast summers bring.?It was hot. Really, really hot. This brings us to my next tip…
  • Bring a fan! Not only was it a balmy 95 degrees outside in Boston, but, as is the case at most colleges in the area, the dorms weren’t air conditioned. If you’re going to a school in the area, bring a small portable fan! If you don’t, you’ll wish you had.
  • Pack light. I managed to fit four days of clothes into one backpack (my dad and I stayed in Boston for two days before orientation), which was quite a feat for me, a chronic over-packer. Packing light is the way to go for college orientation – when you are waiting in line to get your room key, orientation materials, and picture taken, you don’t want to be struggling with a heavy load.
  • Smile! It was amazing how many conversations I was able to start up just by making eye contact and smiling. At orientation, everyone is out of their comfort zone. Be a friendly face and people will immediately be willing to open up!
  • Bring a carryall bag. You don’t want to be known as the girl that spent all of orientation juggling her papers. You’re going to be getting a lot of materials to carry with you, so bring a bag that accommodates folders, pens, pamphlets Coach Outlet Online Store, etc.
  • Dress in comfortable layers. With all the sitting and standing and moving that goes on at orientation, I was glad I opted for shorts – wearing a skirt would have been a nightmare! I also carried a sweater around with me. Although it was hot outside, most lecture halls were heavily air conditioned.
What I Learned at Orientation:

During orientation, I learned some important lessons about college life.

First of all, I learned that at orientation, everyone is desperate to make friends. With a smile on my face and a confident attitude, I was able to meet tons of people and have a great time.

I also learned that it is easy to find a connection with someone, even if you grew up in vastly different neighborhoods with entirely different childhoods.?For instance, I met a guy who had competed with me two years ago at a DECA competition in Louisville, Kentucky coach shoe outlet! I’m from Minnesota and he was from Massachusetts – both of which are plenty far away from Louisville. It felt so good to find somebody who had been involved in my favorite extra-curricular in high school, and I immediately felt at home.

Finally, this weekend I realized that at orientation, everybody is nervous. Coming to this realization was a relief for me, and it allowed me to calm down and enjoy the experience. Orientation is a new experience for everyone that attends, so relax, open up, and have a wonderful time.

Your turn!

My college orientation was amazing, and I’m excited to hear about yours! Incoming freshman, are you excited for orientation? If you already attended orientation, did you enjoy your orientation experience? Veteran college girls, do you have any tips for freshmen about to attend their orientations? Musical Muses: Fashion Inspired by Arcade Fire Coach factory outlet

arcade fire the suburbs

French-Canadian indie-rock band Arcade Fire have been making beautiful music since their debut in 2001. Fronted by Win Butler and his wife?Régine Chassagne, the band also includes numerous other members, including Win’s brother William, who all play the vast array of instruments featured in their songs. Both of Arcade Fire’s past albums, Funeral and Neon Bible, have been nominated for Best Alternative Music Grammys, and their recent release of The Suburbs has proved that they still have what it takes to make an excellent record.

Below, I’ve compiled a few outfits based on the creative, diverse nature of the band and their music. If you’re in an end-of-the-semester fashion rut, read on for some inspiration!

Outfit 1: “Empty Room”

The first outfit is inspired by Régine (and the other ladies of Arcade Fire)’s unique and colorful dresses. I love the unexpected vintage details and unique textures that they wear.

For this look, I was particularly inspired by the outfit Régine wore for the band’s performance on last week’s Saturday Night Live, so I found a gold sequin dress to be the focal point of the look. Pair it?with patterned tights louis vuitton purses, brocade flats, and an elegant cape. and don’t forget gilded accessories like a studded clutch, feather earrings, and sequined hand warmers – a signature part of Régine’s look.

This next look is inspired by Win’s dapper dressing. He is almost always spotted onstage in a buttoned-up?oxford shirt. But this doesn’t mean his look is boring; intriguing details like patches, studs, trims, and military details add interest to an otherwise plain ensemble.

To get Win’s look, layer a chambray oxford under a military-inspired vest and add edgy pieces like studded boots and a two-finger ring.

Outfit 3: “HalfLight II (No Celebration)”

Each member of Arcade Fire has a distinct style, and all the unique looks come together to form the band’s image. While it is hard to pinpoint the band’s exact fashion sense as a whole, it certainly has elements of vintage, baroque, hipster,?and goth, for an eclectic feel.

To channel their look, don’t be afraid to mix up your wardrobe and combine pieces that you normally wouldn’t wear together. If you’re hesitant, keep pieces in the same color family as shown below. Add whimsical touches like knee socks and a flower ring for a look that is mysterious and feminine.

I Tried It… L’Oreal Lash Boosting Serum

L'Oreal Lash Boosting Serum
L’Oreal Lash Boosting Serum- $14.95 at Drugstore.com

The Packaging:

lash boosting serum packaging

The serum comes in a small tube, filled with clear product. I know what you’re thinking: it looks like a tiny amount. But appearances can be deceiving; I seriously doubted that that the tube would last me the full ten weeks, but as of the end of May fashion blogs, I still have at least 1/3rd of the product left in the vial. The consistency is like clear mascara, and you can easily swipe some of the product on and run out the door to do whatever you need- it’s basically invisible.

The Process:

Long eyelashes
credit

To stimulate lash growth, you’re going to need to apply the product once a day to your lash line (like eyeliner) and to your actual lashes (like mascara). Of course, being the overzealous person that I am, I applied it twice a day Coach Outlet Online, but I doubt it did anything to accelerate the results.

Putting it on is easy enough as I’ve used mascara and eyeliner almost daily for six years, but the product stung a bit when I got it in my eye. I learned by my third week or so that the most important part to get was the base of your lashes- don’t waste too much product on the tips of your lashes.

Of course, it can be easy to forget to put the serum on if you don’t make it part of your routine, so try to keep it in your line of sight so you remember! Overall, this is a very simple product to use—as long as you don’t forget!

My Results:

Honestly, I had no expectations with this product and fully intended to throw it out after five or six weeks; I just did not think it would work.

I. Was. Wrong.

Although nothing happened in the first two weeks, once weeks three and four hit, I started noticing baby lashes growing at the base. Now, they weren’t long, but they already felt thicker and looked darker than my regular lashes. By weeks five and six, my lashes were still below-average in length, but had grown by at least 25%- I could feel the difference when I touched them and one of my straight guy friends even noticed they were longer!

When weeks seven and eight came around, my lashes were average length sans mascara, and looked long with mascara on. To all of you guys with naturally long lashes, this might not seem like much coach outlet online, but to me, it was a big deal.

Now Discount Coach Handbags, after ten weeks, I can say that my lash length dramatically improved- I estimate my lashes increased by 50% in length and now look much fuller and thicker discount coach handbags, results that completely exceeded my expectations.

My Overall Review:

If you have short eyelashes, you need to run to CVS/Walgreens/Target to buy this serum ASAP! It’s the best $14.99 you’ll spend on beauty products this year. I’d easily rate this product a 9/10, as it gave me results beyond what I ever expected. ?Okay, it’s no Latisse, but my lashes are much longer and bolder now and I have to use much less mascara than I ever did— double-win for me!

BTW- I tried taking pictures, guys! My lashes are evidently too fair to appear mascara-less in pictures, so you’ll just have to take my word for it- this works!

What do you guys think?

Would you try L’Oreal’s Lash Boosting Serum? Have you tried it? What about similar products? Tell me everything and more in the comments!

EDIT:

Many of you guys asked about eye-color changing. I went to L’Oreal’s website and this is what I found:

The Lash Boosting Serum and Double Extend with Lash Boosting Serum Mascara are cosmetic products which contain conditioning properties for the eye lashes. These products do not contain ingredients which will change eye color.

So, there you have it: this stuff won’t change your eye color like Lattise, for example! Hope that helps clear things up!

How to Look Amazing from Every Angle

How to Look Amazing from Every Angle

Wakeup

We all know what it’s like to wake up early in the morning – we’re often rushed Cheap Coach Outlet Store Online, not motivated, and almost always want to crawl back into bed. However, these moments when we are getting ready are some of the most crucial, as they impact the rest of our day.

When you’re getting ready fast, it’s easy to forget to check the BACK of your outfit, which can often mean looking great from the front and… not so good from other angles.

In this article, I will provide some tips and tricks to ensure you look great, no matter what angle the hottie from the cafeteria is checking you out from.

Invest in a smaller mirror.

Mirror1Mirror2Small mirror from Target
Product info: 1, 2, 3

I always use a smaller mirror while getting ready in the morning. I use it to check the back of my hair to make sure my whole head matches and I didn’t miss any pieces while straightening or curling. I also use this mirror to check the back of my updos to make sure they look great from behind.

To check the back of your head, hold up the smaller mirror in front of your face but at a higher angle. Turn so your back is to a larger mirror. Play with the angle of the smaller mirror until the reflection of the back of your head is visible in the smaller mirror. Then you can perfect your look to make sure your hair looks great from all angles.

Wear the appropriate undergarments.

While this might seem overstated, I really can’t stress the importance of the right undergarments enough. Nothing can make or break an outfit like undergarments.

Make sure to wear the appropriate underwear type to avoid panty lines. To avoid having your panties show through your bottoms, wear a neutral colored panty with white and other sheer-colored bottoms and black panties with black bottoms. Another thing to be aware of is bra straps. You can use the smaller mirror to check the back of your tops to make sure no bra straps can be seen. To keep your bras hidden, invest in a multi-way bra that can be used as strapless, one strap, or racerback.

The Bio-Fit Multi-Way bra from Victoria’s secret is my favorite:

Turn around when you try on clothes.

This applies when you’re getting ready in the morning as well as when you try on clothes at the store. When trying on bottoms or dresses in a store Coach Outlet Online Sale, check the back side to make sure the garments fit how you desire. I can’t tell you how many times I forgot to turn around in the dressing room and had to return items because I wasn’t satisfied with the fit.

When I’m getting dressed, I not only turn around to check my back side, but also bend over. I use this technique to ensure that I don’t reveal certain body parts throughout the day (if I’m wearing a skirt for example). I also use this trick to check cleavage. Bending over helps me decide if my outfit is appropriate for the activities for the day.

Add some sparkle to your back side.
